Queen Anne’s Lace

Queen Anne’s Lace feels like a summer snowflake.

Queen Anne’s Lace (or Wild Carrot) has a dreamy, delicate, soft, vulnerable quality that goes hand and hand with the sensitivity of a full moon in Pisces. Its flower head reminds me of a life of stories, fragmented and yet beautifully woven together, their beauty realized in the gifts they have given us.

Its lacy, white, airy flower can quiet the mind for better entry into our third eye, our Divine Self. Its essence carries us upward into our Spiritual Self. It is so beautifully feminine and so very strong the way the stem holds it and feeds it and brings it to maturity. Its (very) strong stem is a signature of strength, inner strength. This flower gathers what it needs from the earth to survive in the hot summer sun and the dry, infertile soil along roadsides and in meadows.

Most of its flowers have a dark red drop in their center. Some say it signifies blood, some a spiritual eye. For me, it feels like a connection into our physical, earthy selves, a grounding point of incarnation. Feel the two distinct energies… Journey in and out of the center and ‘embody’ both realms.

Queen Anne’s Lace has a spirit, a wildness, we have only begun to explore. It is a flower for integration and understanding, for unity AND uniqueness and for unbelievable strength, purpose and perception.
