Pines

Inner Peace, Acceptance

I have walked into a sacred cathedral, an ideal place for worship today. Holiness is floating from the highest of branches, drifting gently throughout the forest.  I have stepped in to an unfolding prayer.

The forest is quiet except for the pines. The magic of their conversation is calling me in. I breathe it in… I close my eyes and it flows through me.

They see my innermost self. They love me as I am. …Acceptance.

I have always loved the pines, my favorite climbing tree when I was young. Here I found peace… solace. Here I slowed. My thoughts came easily or not at all. I was a part of something wonderful and strong and eternal, something I finally understood. Something I finally could let in.

The pines will hold you if you let them. They are friendly. They are healing. They are accepting. They are reverent. They are oh so wise and caring.
