Peony

Endless Beauty

My Peonies were greeting me as I entered my garden this morning. Nodding hello, happy, bending downward, almost but not quite touching the earth. Heavy from the overnight rain.

My heart melts when the Peonies bloom. I become soft and forgiving of life. I surrender all that I am to their beauty, their magnificence.

They are elegant. They are gentle. They bring Light into my garden. Their fragrance (!) brings peace into my being and gratitude into my heart. I feel wholeness. I feel openness. I feel unashamed.

Peonies bow to the Mother. They feed her with our sadness, our shame, our unworthiness, our hurt. They shift us, they soften us, they want us to slow down, be enough, be beautiful, be graceful.

Their gifts…

patience, authenticity, forgiveness, their love for life and their endless beauty.
