Medicine Lake

Medicine Lake in California is sacred land. It is a vortex within a vortex, one of the sacred sites surrounding Mount Shasta. Pine, cedar, hemlock and fir trees lead the way up into this sanctuary, tall and handsome and protective, becoming smaller and sparser as we climb in altitude.

The lake lies in a crater of an ancient volcano, 1,000 years dormant. Its water is clear and cold and holy and …seductive. It is a place of vision quests, ritual, ceremony, a place to connect into earth medicine, a natural portal of pure, deep earth medicine. It is a place where eagles fill the air energetically and fly into the hearts of those open and vulnerable. Souls of long past Native American healers whisper peace. They sing their songs of honor and gratitude.

Rainbow Medicine Woman moves along the shore. Her medicine is alive. She takes us on a journey into the earth, one of herbs and crystals and ceremony. She sits before us offering patience, wisdom and healing. She teaches about beauty and balance and partnership with the earth and with each other. Her message is gentle, loving and simple. There is a stillness that surrounds us, a feeling of being home, a deep knowing, a devotion to and reverence for all of life.

Medicine Lake elixir brings vision from the eyes of an eagle. It brings the freedom of flight. It brings the mystery of the eagle as it flies wing to wing with Spirit, carrying our prayers, our longings, our old stories ready to be released. This elixir opens us up to communion with Spirit and unfolds us for growth deep inside the earth. It offers us a memory of belonging. It wraps us in prayer and healing and right relationship for all of life.
